MOSELEY PARK

Moseley park is a massive part of my life. I've seen it at every hour of the day in every season. It's where I go to practice classical guitar pieces, it's where I walk the dog, I've spent new years eve there, I've watched cotton wool snow fall silently at 2:00a.m., I feed the ducks most days and even recorded it on mini disc so that I can freak the dog out at home, and I've played to 2000 people there during the Moseley Festival. It's my garden, and what's even more amazing is that it's only off the High Street in Moseley, South Birmingham, and it's nearly always empty. The only other people you meet are doing the same thing as you. However this peace and tranquility does come at a cost, It's a private park open to anyone prepared to part with £30 a year for a key and in my mind you'd be mad not to.

On 12th and 13th July 2003, Moseley Park will be hosting one of the most
exciting musical events of the year. To celebrate the music of Django Reinhardt
the Park will host a festival of Gypsy swing jazz featuring the worlds pre-emminent
exponents of the genre including Sony and Mandino Reinhardt, Tchavolo Schmitt and
Angelo Debarre.
